As the government shutdown continues into the 18th day we hear about story after story how this is going to impact everyone in one way or another. One of the effects of the shutdown is that home buyers in Florida are being affected. Government backed loans are being delayed because the agencies approving those loans are operating on a limited capacity. FHA and USDA loans are going to be the most impacted.

With all of that being said about delays, rest assured loans are getting closed. Had an FHA loan close yesterday. Was delayed a little bit but at the end of the day the home sale got done.
