Welcome to Plant City Florida. A place that takes up a large geographical area in Hillsborough county, but has all the charm and home town feel of a small town. Plant City Florida is home to much of the counties agricultural community, The Strawberry festival, and Historic Downtown Plant city. Plant City Florida is the winter strawberry capitol of the world providing more than half of the strawberries consumed in the nation. The Strawberry festival is very unique to plant city and has many traditions. There are concerts, animal shows, and even a new strawberry queen crowned each year. Due to the area being so rich in agriculture you can visit you picks and family farms through out the year for various crops like, strawberries and blue berries. There are also many local produce stands and the regional farmer’s market where many restaurants and other food suppliers purchase produce. The farmer’s market is also open to the public. Historic Downtown offers many entertainment options. There are restaurants, antique stores, a tea room and even an art gallery. Also located downtown is a museum in the old railway station. A historic car show once a month and a bike fest takes place four times a year. Plant City is also home to it’s very own winery and brewery, Keel and Curley.
